Productivity is the ratio between the quantity of products obtained by a production system and the resources used for such production.
Productivity is the degree of effective utilization of each element of production. It is, above all, a mindset. It is the search for constant improvement of what already exists. It is based on the conviction that one can do things better today than yesterday, and better tomorrow than today. It requires continued efforts for economic activities to adapt to the changing conditions and apply new techniques and methods.
Profitable production processes depend on the ability to measure real productivity, in such a way that it is possible to identify weaknesses and implement improvement actions in order to increase the benefit.
